Accessibility statement for www.mysurgery.site
We want everyone to be able to use this website. This statement covers www.mysurgery.site only. Each practice website built on MySurgery.site has its own statement.
Using this website
You should be able to:
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen or needing to scroll sideways
- use the whole website with just a keyboard, with a visible focus outline
- use Windows contrast themes and still see every button, link and focus outline
- read every page without cookies, pop-ups or chat windows getting in the way
- use the forms with clear labels, and error messages written out in words
We’ve also written the text to be as simple as we can make it.
How accessible this website is
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA. As far as our testing has found, this website is fully compliant with that standard.
We don’t know of any problems. There are two things we haven’t tested yet, and we’ll update this statement when we have:
- how it works with screen readers, such as NVDA, JAWS, Narrator and VoiceOver
- how it works with Edge Read Aloud and Immersive Reader
The screenshots of our demo practice are pictures of another website. Each one has a text description, but the text inside the picture can’t be read out. You can visit the demo practice itself to use it fully.
How we test this website
Every time we change the website, automated tests check every page with axe-core at desktop and phone sizes. They also check that pages work with a keyboard, reflow at 200% and 400% zoom, keep buttons and focus visible in Windows contrast themes, and that every link and button is big enough to tap. We also check each page with Google Lighthouse.
The website was last tested on 9 October 2026 by the MySurgery.site team.
